The Enneagram of Parenting and Childing: The Heart Types

Our Enneagram Anytime Panel season continues with the Heart Types: the 2, the 3, and the 4. These types often grew up navigating questions of image, achievement, and feeling — how to be loved, how to be seen as valuable, how to make sense of feeling different from everyone else.

This week, we'll hear from the 2, who may have learned early that love comes through being needed and giving to others, sometimes losing track of their own needs in the process; the 3, who often discovered that worth was tied to accomplishment and how they were perceived, both as a child and later as a parent trying to model success; and the 4, who may have felt a persistent sense of being different or misunderstood, and longed to be truly seen for who they are.

We'll ask how those emotional templates shaped their own parenting instincts — does a 2 over-give to their kids, does a 3 wrestle with performance-based parenting, does a 4 work to make sure their child feels less alone than they did? And we'll explore whether discovering their type shifted their parenting, or gave them new language for their own childhood and their bond with their parents.

When: Sunday, August 9th, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Who’s on the Panel: Types 2, 3, and 4
Cost: Donation-based — $5, $25, $50, or whatever works for you
Hosted by: Noah Gray, CLC, and Elaine Culverwell, Certified Enneagram Coach & Consultant

This is part of a three-part series exploring childhood and parenthood through the Enneagram; each Sunday features a different triad of types. Come to one, two, or all three — hearing panelists speak openly about their personal experience is one of the best ways to see how the Enneagram fosters self-understanding and compassion. (Each panel must be registered for separately)

Once your donation is processed, you’ll be added to the roster for the meeting. Expect a Zoom link 10 minutes before the event begins, as well as a reminder email one day prior. Please contact us at info@enneagramanytime.com with any questions. We look forward to having you join us!

*Please note that there is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all events. Full refund provided with notice 24 hours prior to the workshop.
