The Enneagram of Parenting and Childing: The Head Types

We close out this year's Enneagram Anytime Panel season with the Head Types: the 5, the 6, and the 7. These types often developed early strategies for managing fear and uncertainty — by withdrawing into their minds, scanning for safety and support, or staying busy and looking on the bright side.

This final panel features the 5, who may have retreated into observation and knowledge as a way to feel safe and self-sufficient as a child; the 6, who often grew up highly attuned to danger, loyalty, and who could or couldn't be trusted; and the 7, who may have learned to keep things light and future-focused as a way of moving through pain or uncertainty.

We'll dig into how those coping strategies carried into parenthood — does a 5 need extra space to recharge from parenting, does a 6 wrestle with anxiety about their child's safety, does a 7 have to consciously slow down to be present with hard emotions? And as always, we'll ask whether knowing their type changed how they parent, or reframed how they understand their own upbringing and relationships with their parents.

When: Sunday, August 16th, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Who’s on the Panel: Types 5, 6, and 7
Cost: Donation-based — $5, $25, $50, or whatever works for you
