The Comfort Trap: Motivation & Ambition in 9 Territory

If you have known you are a type Nine for a little while, then you are familiar with the struggles of the type. Struggles like ambivalence in decision-making, merging with other people's agendas, acting from automatic habit, and containing your own energy in order to keep the peace.

The above issues of type Nine, taken all together, can translate into an overall feeling of low motivation or lacking ambition for your life. And that is the exact feeling we will be covering in this workshop for Nines!

The official Enneagram terminology for the syndrome described above is called "Indolence." Indolence is essentially a chronic habit of trying to "take oneself out of the equation." A chronic habit of trying to affect the landscape as little as possible, to cause no ripples on the surface of the metaphorical pond.

As you can imagine, with all that going on, it can be pretty difficult for Nines to know (or follow) their own personal ambitions and big dreams!
